School supplies oh my! And a new product!

I hope everyone's summer is not flying by like mine! I still have so many things to-do and want to-do and I can already feel the chaos creeping up! I went into Wal-Mart today and guess what was shining like a beacon of craziness? SCHOOL SUPPLIES! Which should be no surprise to me, I mean stores put out bathing suits in winter and ornaments up in summer so the fact they are already gearing up for a new school year is normal. I was super excited and squealed like a lil piggy because of all the cute things, especially all the owl stuff they have out now! Here are some pictures of my loot!
So I got these for my treasure chest. I thought it was so cool to put the colors together for those kids that prefer certain colors...kind of like the "reds" Starburst they came out with finally!

Hi I am Ashley and I am a label hoarder! I loved, loved these labels with little tiny owls on them...I label EVERYTHING so this will come in handy!!

OH my OWLS!! Finally Ducktape with owls!!! I dreamt of this and finally I have some!
I guess being a teacher helps when I want to buy cute school supplies because I can actually have an excuse to buy and use it....if I wasn't a teacher then I guess I'd just be the crazy lady that doesn't have her own kids but loves to hoard cute school supplies!
I digress...

So I finally put together something I have been thinking about since last year. I love to integrate when I can and give the kids opportunities' to practice many different things wrapped up into one activity. Every year it seems like my kids love when we get to weather and seasons in science. Although here in Tx we have like one season :P sometimes it is hard for the kids to relate to winter being cold. snow, leaves changing colors drastically etc. I also know that inferring for kids is also hard when we work on it during reading. Getting them to write too whenever they can on topics they enjoy is also very pivotal in them practicing being an author. So Wah-lah! The seasons inferencing cards-integrating reading, writing and science objectives was born! What I tried to make sure is that you can use this whole group, small group, individual, stations can adjust how guided you make it and/or how independent you prefer. I also am a big believer in laminating to last so the cards are made to be laminated and written on and hopefully will last you a long time! If this might be something you can use next year please feel free to take a looksee :)
